We are thrilled to be able to announce that the new vicar of St John’s and St James will be Rev Peter Mackenzie.

Peter is currently vicar at St Peter’s Church, Harrow - the daughter church of Christ Church Roxeth - and chaplain of the associated medical centre. He is married to Ruth, and has two daughters (8) & (5).

Peter, who grew up in Cornwall and studied Astronomy at UCL, worked for the Oasis Trust, where he was involved in their ministry to homeless people, before studying theology at Oak Hill. He has been a member of the Antioch Community, an ecumenical charismatic community based in West London and has had a support role in Soul Survivor, Harrow. He helps run a keep fit club at St Peter’s and enjoys swimming and gardening.

Peter will be inducted as Vicar by the Bishop of Willesden on 12th May 2008.
